Reintegration Through Rehabilitation

Span’s mission is to assist men and women to make a successful transition from living in prison to thriving in the community. We believe that this transition can be the foundation of a new way of life. To assist clients in creating a strong foundation that ensures lasting personal changes, we believe that rehabilitative services, as well as support services are crucial. Through counseling and education, rehabilitative services address the issues that often lead to incarceration.

Span has two levels of participation: Members and Clients

All Span Clients receive support services, such as discharge planning, housing search, case management and job search, etc.

A Span Member receives all support services, participates in at least one rehabilitative service and has achieved good standing. A Member is entitled to all benefits of membership, such as use of our Adolph Grant Drop In Center, computers, tee shirts, graduation celebrations, participation in special events, and is eligible, when he or she completes an agreed upon number of rehabilitative services, to be considered for the Span Alumni Association. Alumni of Span may be considered for membership on our Board of Directors among other specialized benefits.
